From the shot location to pond is probably 300 yards. But, as I said, he bedded downs within 100 yards of where I shot him and probably would have died there had I not bumped him messing with my gun.

Man, it happens. You put in the effort to recover him.

I like fast expanding rounds. I also like a clean exit…so I am always torn.
