Had a chance to go slip into the woods after dropping off trigger man at school.

Super foggy and the woods are soaked lm going to go ease around on the benches on the side of a steep hardwood ridge.

Maybe I can find something. Shot a coyote doing the same thing Sunday, maybe I can run into another one.

Good luck fellas

Been bouncing between 2 food plots in the middle of hardwoods in Bullock since the 19th haven’t seen not one shooter buck this season. Very little activity to even speak of.

It's been the same way for me this season, not one shooter buck seen while hunting, had several on camera earlier this month......

Decided to sit in this steep cut in the ridge

My right is where they come down and cross the creek and go to the cut at the top on the left

[Linked Image]

My left is a steep bluff with a gap up at the top

Third one I’ve found in 2 hunts.

Last one was a fresh basket 6, all 3 were a good bit from our property lines.

This one hurts as it’s the big bodied 7 I’ve been trying to get my son on.

Unless they crossed the river I wouldn’t see either. Possibly post rut mortality?

Fresh basket 6? You check him for holes or obvious signs of injury? Gotta look close, 22 mag leaves a very small hole.

I far from expert - but i think more bucks than u think do themselves in fighting. My dang yotes check scrapes religiously. Why - cause they get to eat some hurt bucks
