MarksOutdoors Booner M Joined: Nov 2015 Posts: 14,466 Chilton County	It's been my best season since I started this nineteen years ago. I shot a good 8 pt. on December 4. I've wanted to hunt this spot, but it's about a 500 yard walk to get to due to fallen trees blocking the road going in. My freezer is full so it would take a good one stepping out for me to pull the trigger. This 10 point checked all the boxes. I was hunting a ridge with a deep bottom on either side to my right and my left. I noticed him come into the bottom to my right. He fed in the bottom for ten minutes and I could tell he was at least an 8 pt. through my binos. He moved up the ridge diagonally until he got to my 2 o'clock and I let him have it at 50 yards. I apparently hit him high, but he looked to be down for the count but I gave him 30 minutes. I climbed on down and he decided he'd give it one last run back 100 yds down into that bottom. He laid down and I put one in his neck from 75 yards. He had a kicker at the base of his left main beam. Special thanks to Hayman for riding out to help with the drag.
