DCA is one of the worst air spaces in the world. For 40 years I dealt with delays to there. Only thing worse is the New York area.

14 US and Russian Figure skaters and several coaches and family including world champion Russian skaters who are now coaches were on this flight. Over 19 bodies removed from water. No survivors. 64 on plane and 3 on helicopter. Sounds like plane had priority due to final low approach and helicopter should have yielded. 37 degree water so odds of survival slim to none. Prayers for all.

I can promise you that's the cause. Nobody on either aircraft was trying to commit suicide. A DEI controller, shouldn't have been there, is responsible. There is also the chance it's just an accident. They do happen when nothing nefarious is involved. We've all been conditioned to expect nefarious and often have been proved right. When I think of DEI. I think of airlines. There is no shortage of things that have happened that are directly attributable to DEI hires and no shortage of documentation of it. Government and USPS comes in at 2 and 3 on that list.

It appears, according to flight path data on flightradar24, that the plane was following another American flight on final to runway 1 into DCA. For some reason (could be due to ATC making that call...unknown as of now), the crashed plane diverted over to runway 13...which put it in the path of a known helicopter route on the east side of the Potomac. Here's a good thread on it.... https://x.com/bricaul/status/1884790959373992075

Someone big is on that plane that went down! Since when do "big" people fly on regional jets?

Glad I’m retired from the airline industry. 40 years was enough.

According to Trumps statement the plane was on a routine landing pattern and the helicopter was going straight at it The controller only asked if the helicopter saw the plane and did not tell them to veer in any direction

I can't be so sure DEI is the cause of this crash (it will probably be one of the many factors that led to the crash), but like you said, it definitely plays a huge role in the airline industry....including ATC

Black Hawk and regional jet collided over Potomac Reagan Airport DEMONSTRATION! Both of those two things are active person controls, with multiple-computers in between the controller, and the rudders. That is way to send a big message to big people. Nobody "special" could have been on either. That may have been a demonstration, bad fear. Those two were steered together over DC. Ai steers hand controlled video game players into each other, all over the place in games over the internet WARCRAFT. Military nerds love to play that game, I have seen college kids flunk out of life playing that game.

From day one, Tesla was the good side of electricity, Edison was not. GE - We bring Good-things to Life. I feel like that was a Demonstration, both pilots would have seen with eyes and had enough time to correct away correctly. Shit, curved screens

4Tigers posted 7 minute video gives an excellent overview of exactly what happened! Definitely worth the 7 minute watch to understand the events up to the accident.

Someone big is on that plane that went down! Since when do "big" people fly on regional jets? Of course he's not the Homeland Secretary any more but it was reported that Mayorkas was on the very next plane in line to land. Senators and US reps fly on them . That being said , there's been no report of anyone "big" being on the plane. The story was and may change, an air traffic controller had the pilot of the plane change to a different runway at the last minute , so the plane had just or was changing course. The runway approach he changed to is in the flight path the helos use . Least that's what I've seen. Subject to change , if it's a DEI controller , may never know the straight of it.
