I have a bag of dried molasses that I was gonna put out for my deer that come to my feeder in the backyard but reading stuff that says it os really bad for them. But I know it’s an additive in a lot of deer attractants

Am I ok to put it out, should I just add it in my feeder with the corn and let it disperse slowly? Or just dump the whole bag and let em have it? I don’t hunt these deer, just like to watch them.

Always liked it, but haven't been able to find none around here.

Added to the corn may not work it will soak up moisture and may harden in clumps. Pouring on the ground will work will do a hole til it water in with the rains. I have put it in a trough with good luck it still crust over but deer still bit it.

Don't put in a feeder unless you want to chisel it out later.

Ii haven't read this whole thread so this may be irrelevant, but if you go to feed store and get one of those live stock mineral blocks, put it on top of a pretty big stump. Get you a 50# bag of dried molasses and put a scoop full on top of the block every time you go to fill up feeder, check cameras, get time ect. After a few rains and some heat, it will start seeping down into stump. They will tear it up. Liquid molasses will work as well
