100% air traffic controllers fault. Well, it’s now revealed they were understaffed. More than likely because they are turning away candidates because they were white.

Trump has no filter and that's one of the things we love about him. But I might not have waded right into the DEI puddle with so many tragic losses. We could have given the NTSB a little time to look around.

He only said what literally EVERYONE was thinking, but maybe the POTUS shouldn't have been saying it less than 24hrs after it happened.

As a former recreational pilot (and just by way of common sense) I can guarantee you that light pollution played a big role. Regardless of who shoulda been, or shouldn't have been, where they were, it's extremely difficult to navigate at such low altitude and air speed while battling the flood of city lights. Some people are asking if the pilots had NV or were they using NV. I can assure you they had night vision but they wasn't using it because of ambient light distortion. This is a huge problem created by urban clutter. The amount of air traffic, combined with low speed and altitude, mixed with intense light pollution is likely the root cause.

That was the first thing I noticed when they cut to the crash sight. Someone made a good point if it’s valid, said the plane as banking so the lights won’t Have been as visible to the helo pilots The only question I have is doesn’t the plane and helo have warning equipment when radar if and when it shows near or collision close aircraft

When he goes off the rails into these topics he plays right into the left wing media hands. They have already changed the narrative to "Trump makes baseless claims about DEI hiring " Even if what Trump said is true, he's already lost the battle of perception. And it's no different than left wing gun grabbers talking about banning guns before the bodies reach room temperature after a school shooting. Just don't try and make political points while families are making funeral arrangements.

Carter, those collision warning systems typically deactivate at low altitudes. Somewhere between 1000 and 400 feet AGL. Once you're on VFR approach it's all in the pilots hands. The Blackhawk (although I've never been in the cockpit) would certainly have more advanced avionics. But when you're in a low altitude, low air speed, flight path it's extremely difficult to make rapid manuvers. Altitude is a pilots best friend. Altitude and air speed are life savers.

Just saw something and wished I’d saved it
Guy was showing the flight path of rh Blackhawk and said it appears as if waiting as it made some erratic directional changes as if burning time. 🤷♂️
Questions are being raised why military training in such a congested area

I do not think he’d have said that without knowing something we all don’t. When he makes statements like these he ends up being 100% right. Was the timing appropriate? Debatable. If it’s due to incompetency because of terrible hiring decisions it is in the best interest of the public for the president to publicly state we know what happened and we are about to fix it so it won’t happen again.

Geesh. I love reading all the thoughts on aldeer on the root cause of this accident. Trump was stupid for saying it's DEI before the bodies have been pulled from the water. Trump is the man and his 1st 5 minutes of the briefing was good, but it fell into a deep well when he said he knew what the reason was. The swiss cheese affect was evident in this mishap.

You are correct. TCAS only works at a certain altitude due to radar. 10 miles visible last night. Definitely VFR. ILS might have saved this accident. FAA is gonna eat this one. Talked with a few of my pilot friends today. They all hate DCA. Too many restrictions.

He could have saved the information for when he needed to grab by the short and curly. The families of the dead deserve a little better right now. Payback can come later.

You think some dude on the ground with a radio gadget who had the right passcodes could hack one of those air crafts and zombie just one enough to cause a crash? Asking for the its still a computer crash people.

The DEI relationship to the crash Trump said has merit. DEI is coded into some ATC systems. I doubt it really was DEI. But I never considered the depth of DEI pollution. until I realized and saw it. Yes, they program DEI into fundamental mechanical computing systems. Its really messed up ..bad! Beeper Bombs are real. DEI toasters cold also be real? Alexa is a weird bitch.
