Most of y’all are too young to remember. Good times. Morning drive. Lunch. Then an afternoon drive. Cleaning my 1100 this afternoon got me to thinking.
"We have an opponent in this state that we work every day, 365 days a year, to dominate."

Killed my first on one in 84’. Big doe during ‘doe days’ with a wingmaster 16ga #1 buckshot. Great memories.

I wish i had got to experience that. There are several state hunts throughout the season you can put in for a draw. They ain’t like the “old” days but you can still experience some of it!!

Those were some good times. My first deer was a little 3 point back in 1983. I had an old Stevens pump 12 ga. Probably the best part though is the club members had an old school bus made into a bunk house that was kept at a local farm. I would stay there with my dad all through Christmas break. Meals cooked on an old wood burning stove were just better than the ones at home and the fellowship was priceless.
The true mark of a man is not how he conducts himself during times of prosperity, but how he conducts himself during times of adversity.

Several friens of mine are in a 10k acre club in Choctaw and man they have FUN! I thought about joining for the hell of it, but i'm gonna stay out of Choctaw County (hey Oktappa 🖕🏿🤣🤣)

What I liked about hunting deer dogs, there was no bag limit. We "harvested" several of them back in the 80s.
My opinions and comments are my own. They do not reflect the position or political opinions of Aldeer or any of the Aldeer administration.

I loved dog drives. You could hav good hunt and not see a deer. The dogs running by you always got the adrenaline going and i liked driving too Sometimes we had a couple drives in morning and couple in evening. Was not always just one drive in morning and one in evening
Hunt the wind - leave it better than you found it - love your neighbor as you love your self We need prayer for our country now more than ever

My son was invited to a youth dog hunt. There wasnt much to it. We appreciated the invite but i think it was more of a social thing than a deer hunt. I would like to have experienced a sure enough good dog hunt.

Heck, nobody even does man drives any more. That used to be a thing too. We try do one a year down by the house. Property the father n law lease doesn't ALLOW dogs, we've tried a few times, but some asshole always calls the GW 😄 So just man drives, which can be just as good sometimes

Been on many them. Lots of great memories. What an adrenalin rush when the dogs were headed toward YOU!

Heck, nobody even does man drives any more. That used to be a thing too. We set aside a couple weekends per year and get together and do one. pushed several properties in 2 different counties weekend before last with close to 30 people most of which were kids. It was so much fun
