^^ Amen Ridge
I hav put pressure on my hardwood spot and sightings gone down. When i hunted clubs - i would found spot nobody hunted if possible and kill
Its still about pressure and wind! You can make it as attractive as possible - but if you hunt it a lot - they go somewhere else. When i killled my good deer this year and big deer last year - those spots were hardly hunted. If i had kept pressure there - 0 sightings. Always hunt right wind and keep pressure down. After opening 5-6 days of season next year - take 3 1/2 - 4 weeks off or hav more spots and rotate pressure This works to a certain degree, but savvy people watch who kills deer and where they sit. I used to be one of the last guys out of the woods at night just to keep others from seeing what I was killing. I would hang a lock on stand, and cut no trail to it. Thought I was good until one of the officers asked me how I got to my lock on. Then I found a glove pic on one of my camera's (before cell cams) and I knew he was checking my camera. So I left that club. I had a spot I could sit in, literally 30 yards off the road, and kill deer every year. I would watch people drive up and down the road. Had one like that in my current club until they thinned the side of the lease the deer were coming off of.
