Yes, it's good. It is a little pricey but if you're going with the wife, you can get one steak (they're huge) and split it. You pay an extra $8-9 for 2nd potato and salad and suddenly it's not nearly as pricey. If Livingston is more convenient, Diamond Jim's is basically the same thing.
Edit to add.....if you're going on a Friday or Sat, I'd get there a little early or be prepared to wait a good bit

I have always enjoyed Big Mikes. However, this last trip they hit you with an upcharge because beef prices were higher and they didn't want to reprint menus. It was $3.50 extra for the ribeye. It was delicious still but a ribeye with water and a premium side, one beer and tip it was $68 for one person.

We’ve been many times. It’s quite good but yes expensive. I pay for 4 adults to eat each time, so we’re going to have to back away now that we’ve had it due to cost. The New York Strip and filet are usually excellent.

It’s fantastic. Have only been to the Orange Beach location

Pro tip. The big mikes ribeye, a share plate, and split it.

I've wanted to. Driven by with the intent to stop, but there's always a line. My old arse has developed an attitude about lines and waiting to eat. I'd rather grab a quick and go sit and drink a bourbon that wait 15 minutes for seating. Much less the 45 to an hour that's often the case. I'm not ever that hungry and I cook a better steak than any I've ever bought at a steak house.

I’ve been to the Andalusia location. Over rated and pricey are my first thoughts

I have been to the one in Andalusia a few times. I have enjoyed what I ordered every time, but I have heard from others that sometimes it just isn't as good as other times and that may just depend on who is in the kitchen. DoA's parents get that big steak and split it and order the extra side. They also have a great pork chop according to another family member. I will say that if you don't like waiting very long and don't have a problem eating supper early, then plan to be there about 15-20 minutes before the doors open and go ahead and get in line (you might even be first). You will still have to wait, but will be seated as soon as they get to you rather than having to wait on another party to leave and the table to be cleared.

Oh, I did just see within the past week that they are opening a location in Prattville, too.

Great steaks but something about their marinade upsets stomach.

My wife and I ate at the one in Guntersville. It wasn’t that bad but we both agreed we should have just gone to Fire by the Lake. The steak was a quality piece of meat but seasoned too salty. The decor reminded me of the YMCA. The kicker was they didn’t offer draft beer which gets a big downgrade for me. Do you think Fire by the Lake has better steaks?
