I really think this is 2.5 to 3.5, but he may be a little older than that. This is the difference 1 year makes. Hope he makes it to next season, be interested to see what he looks like then.

Lat year.

I don't believe there's any way that's the same deer

We will burn that bridge when we get there

I always scratch my head when people are so certain they've got the same deer on camera. It seems like a crapshoot. Unless the rack is super distinctive.

Date would make it 2 years ago and would make more sense on the size but who knows if it’s the same deer

If f all you do is study and identify deer it becomes quite easy.

I know the area where your club is and it will be a miracle if that deer makes it to next year. Shocked it made it to this year, must be totally nocturnal.

I ID'd a buck at 200 yards after it had shed antlers, wife said I was crazy. He had a large scar on his right (away from us) side. we drove closer and he turned, showing the scar!!!! he had a peculiar way of holding his head, easily noticeable IF you looked.

Matt is correct.

I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

Superstar 3yo i would think. I have a 2yo like that top pic, maybe justa hair smaller, if hes still alive. I want so bad to see him get to 4yo. Ive passed him a couple times this year, so have neighbors. If he looks like that bottom picture next year, nobody will be able to pass him, myself included.

Exactly. I can tell certain does on my property that I see on camera every day all year round. I can tell you about the time they will come out and how many will show up. Most of the bucks on my property that make it through the season I will follow them all through the spring to summer from the time of the antler drop till they start growing their new horns. Seeing them every day almost year round you can definitely keep up with bucks from year to year

I’ve been able to successfully track individual bucks from 1 year old until well into maturity. It depends on the deer, their unique characteristics, behaviors, home range and habits. I’ve got a few individual does I’ve been able to do this with too.
