But it's not like the mexican laborers just showed up and started working yesterday. This has been a slow replacement over time. It was gradual and they were cheap when the shift first started. Now they've basically taken over this whole segment are there are not many whites/blacks doing this type of work. This wasn't an overnight thing, it was a deliberate push out of American labor. Actually most of the Americans pushed their selves out. Most think those jobs are beneath them or are too lazy to do them. I grew up in the construction industry. My father had several subcontractor who' had their children in the business. They were all lazy, some dope heads and when daddy was done their business died because the kids didn't want to work. The door was left wide open for the messicans to take their place
