Her: "I didn't sleep well at all last night. I've been up since 2:30 AM"
Me later that day: "You know I was thinking about sleep quality and maybe the mid-day naps are partly causing your issues. Whenever I take long naps during the day I never sleep well that night."
Her (later): "You know, you don't always have to have a solution, maybe just listen and feel sorry for me and say 'I'm sorry'".
Her (also later): "My feet have been hurting me a lot tod-" [Me: "I'm sorry"]
Her (after that): "You were just going to say that no matter what I complained about next weren't you?!"
Me: "Yes, as instructed "
Her: "And you don't see anything wrong with that?"
Me: ....
Her: "You honestly are sitting there telling me you don't?"
Me: "I'm resigning from this argument"

Normal. All women are born with spiders in their heads. The only question is how many spiders and when are they coming out. One thing you can count on though, they WILL come out.

Sometimes we just want someone to listen and not provide a solution. Sometimes it is just a comment or statement of fact. Other times we drop a hint and y'all miss it. Add pregnancy hormones to it and gets more complicated.
She is growing a whole human inside her body - the further along she gets, the harder it will be to get comfortable which definitely will affect how well she sleeps no matter when she sleeps (also factor in the multiple trips to pee that interrupt said sleep). And, achy feet are pretty common as increased weight gain and any excess fluid she may be retaining affect that.
Correct response to first issue: What can I do to make it better? Chances are she will say, "Nothing."
Correct response to second issue: Tell her to sit down and give her a foot massage.

When mine complains about anything hurting or bothering her I just start rubbing her back. Works 1000% of the time. Talking never works, listening does.

Sometimes I ask “Do you want me to try and fix it or do you want me to just listen?” A foot massage is never a bad response to any question. But no matter how complex she gets, always remember that God wired them differently than us. It doesn’t make sense to us but that’s how God created her. Forgive her like Christ forgave you and love her like Christ loves the church. Of course, all this is easier said than done 😂

I'm going to tell you my problem that has an obvious solution.
I'm going to get pissed and start an argument when you tell me your opinion on solving that problem.
For whatever reason they sure love that drama. Men are problem solvers by nature. You task us with a problem we are going to tell you how to fix it or at least what we think will fix it. If just saying your problem out loud makes it somehow better but you don't want to hear about countermeasures to make it go away, then go outside and share it with a tree. I get sick of all the stupid nonsense drama.

Pregnancy brain or not, that’s a normal conversation.

Men don't understand women. Most women understand men, but they don't understand other women. Which leads to the conclusion that absolutely NOBODY understands women.
My opinions and comments are my own. They do not reflect the position or political opinions of Aldeer or any of the Aldeer administration.

Her: "I didn't sleep well at all last night. I've been up since 2:30 AM"
Me: And breakfast isn't made why???
Her (also later): "My feet have been hurting me a lot tod-"
Me: Maybe you need one of those mats to stand on to wash dishes and make sandwiches.
I've edited your conversation to include the proper responses.
The true mark of a man is not how he conducts himself during times of prosperity, but how he conducts himself during times of adversity.
