This book has been a labor of love and after several years of writing, it is set to be released on April 15. You can pre-order now on Amazon, but will be available everywhere in April. If you want to know more about the fisheries in Alabama, especially how to better appreciate them, and how to target them with a fly, this book is for you. Hundreds of beautiful photographs and lots of info that will appeal to the fly curious all the way to the experienced angler. It is not designed to be a "where to go" type of book, although there are some well-known and easily accessible spots covered. I hope that you'll consider purchasing this and if you do, I truly appreciate it!

Judging by your past posts, I am certain it is a well written book. I am a unreformed bait fisherman. My fly fishing exploits involved bream beds and popping bugs or fish feeders and a piece of cork whittled into the shape of fish food and epoxied on a hook. Will buy this book just to expand my horizons.

I have mine pre-ordered, but I'm still gonna mostly use the info for baitcasting. smile

If you watch YouTube, check out the Shoal Bandit and you can see AuTrout fishing with him in several episodes. They fish some beautiful streams; wish I wasn't too old to go to some of those places, but I can at least watch.

You scampered around those rocks just fine on the day we fished together!

I can still wade fish a small creek like that one that has easy access. I used to have a lot of places like that I could go, but they've all been made private. The thing I can't do is launch a kayak and paddle upstream for miles and then wade a big river. I'll just watch you and the Shoal Bandit doing that. smile
