He ran around 50 yards and disappeared off a bluff from hell. Didn’t hear a crash which caused some slight panic. I didn’t go yesterday expecting to even see a deer. My wife was with me in her first ever hunt, probably last if I had to guess. It smelled like bath and body works in the shooting house and we were in a food plot I never would expect that deer to slip through. The wind was bad to top it off, I had him killed in probably 5-7 seconds. A few more steps and he would have busted us easy. To top it all off I was playing on this site and Katie saw the deer first. I’ve caught hell about that lol. The shot placement was luck, I stopped him with a bleat and he quartered hard at me. He was at a decent trot from the time he entered the plot Probably the most chaotic 10 second interval I’ve ever experienced. I had a huge buck about to hit my scent and a wife asking me to wait until her ears were plugged lol. Wasn’t any turning back at that point, ears plugged or not. I love your shot placement. I assume he did not run too far. One of the best bucks I have seen pics of this year. Super congrats!

Except I had my wife and twin 3 year olds. Congrats on a stud
