Does anyone make one similar without the price ? Some of these illuminated reticles are a little too much, looking for basic firedot..

Thanks

This is what I put on my rifle a few years ago and am very happy with it.

My experience is that illuminated reticle don't help. I have a few scopes with them and have never used the illumination when shooting at deer at last light. Too much flare to see the target. If it's too dark to see the reticle to shoot you're already past legal shooting time.

You ever looked through a Leupold on the lowest setting? I get 0 flare on the lowest 2-3 settings at dark .

We have a bushnell elite with a glowing reticle thats actually functionally useful but you have to shine a light down the tube for a little bit to get it to work. The process sux a little sitting in a shooting house right at dark but the end result is ok

My Maven doesn’t do that at all, either. It’s nice and crisp and allows you to see your target well past legal shooting light.

I have two with the firedot reticle. The Leupold has the least amount of flare of any i own but I still prefer to leave the illuminated dot off

When I was hunting last weekend on a large field I was looking at several deer at last light. I was looking at deer 450 yds and further and it was easier to see the deer without illumination. Scope is a VX6 3-18X50.

Movie quote from Mad Max - Speed's just a question of money, son. How fast do you want to go?

We can fool ourselves regarding what is a good value on optics. My recommendation is buy once, cry once.

If I could go back in time to find the 25 year old me, I would tell him - Buy one really good .357 revolver, one good 1911, one great .22 pistol, and a decent .308 bolt action with a German scope. Then, go hunt for 40 years and be happy.

If you can find a Burris euro diamond they are heavy but are mighty fine.

I killed three this year using the illuminated reticle with zero flare. Vortex Razor G3 and a Athlon Cronus

I don't care for traditional illuminated reticles, but the firedot is so small and precise I don't notice any flare ( I have astigmatism, which doesn't help) and it doesn't wash out the picture at last light. They are not cheap, but I cant think of anyone that doesn't anything similar/ comparable for less money. they're all going to be north of $500 unless you qualify for first responser/ mil/ outfitter discount.

Great scopes! I was just curious if there were any quality scopes for less money?

IMO there are definitely quality scopes available for less money, but none of them will have anything comparable to the firedot reticle.

https://www.bushnell.com/scopes/vie...e---3-9x40-illuminated/BU-RE3940BS9.html

I bought one of these for a Bergara carbine I bought. Havent sighted it on yet but its mounted. Pretty impressed with the clarity and illumination features.
