Buddy shot a good buck last weekend. Dead on straight shot. Hit just edge of chest. Deer buckled, recovered and headed to a creek. Found lot of blood and where he slid down bank. Looked till dark but didn’t find him. Went back a few days later looking up and down creek and didn’t find him. He did find a skull of a deer he shot a few years ago though. Those quartering to and frontal shots are really iffy.

I’ve got one that I’ve shot with a bow and a ML and he’s alive and well. Only time will determine if it impacts antler growth. You serious, Clark?

Shot him right in the shoulder in ML season at 80-85 yards, complete pass through both shoulders, and he’s perfectly fine. Lost a little weight initially, but fully recovered.
