Many love to say “they’re doing jobs nobody else will”. No, they’re doing jobs people gave them because they’d work for less. Bullshit. That may have been the case real early on. Definitely not now. The vast majority of them will not work for under 200/day. That aint bad money especially tax free. They definitely are not getting taken advantage of. Good point , some are making good $ and you touched on the root cause now, cash not paying taxes . And for the employer , no benefits , no taxes withheld , no SS, no workman's comp, etc , etc. Mighty attractive , and in most cases , mighty illegal. Here’s another issue 2dog, a lot of these guys have fake papers. Employers do hold out taxes on them. The illegal just never files taxes. So that person is actually paying more taxes than they should due to them not getting a refund. So a lot of them are paying into the tax system. We remove those people, but leave the lazy Americans on government assistance and we are farther upside down than we were. There has got to be a solution to this problem that won’t be such a burden on Americans. But I have no clue what it is.
