Dang, the number of folks on here trying to justify illegal immigration for their own self serving interests, is astounding. So you would rather pay higher prices on gas, groceries, guns, corn, and EVERYTHING ELSE YOU BUY… just to ship people out of the country that are doing jobs that Americans WILL NOT DO? That’s insane. It’s not a “self serving interest”. It’s in the best interest of every American to not interrupt the American economy. How do you people not understand this?? How do you know they won't do that job? Who did that job before an illegal took an Americans place? Because I tried for 5 years to hire them. Read above. So breaking a civil law is different from a federal law as far as integrity goes? Both are wrong. That civil matter argument would not apply there. I bet you never take advantage of the tax code for small businesses either do you? Ask a trooper why they let you drive 75 in 70 and why they haul your ass to jail for a felony. As for me, I can honestly say that I did everything by the law and tax codes. Not only did I pay a self employed business tax, I also paid into SS and matched my employees withholdings. I had ZERO 1099 or cash employee's. So I have no use for an illegal getting SS benefits that doesn't pay into it. And when you have a reputable accounting firm doing your taxes, you damn right it's by the tax code set by the IRS.

I used to think everything was black and white. Wrong or right. Well the more I live the more I realize there is a hell of a lot of gray area between those two. At this point in time you simply cannot successfully deport every illegal immigrant living in this Country. There are too many of them and they are to imbedded in the economy of this Nation. If you can’t see the damage that would to to our economy then you don’t know much about the economy. Who is going to replace them!!! Plus, what are we gonna do with their minor children who were born here and like it or not are citizens.
So here is my plan. Feel free to disagree.
1. Definitely run down the felony committing ones and deport. 2. Strengthen the border and stop all future illegal immigration as much as possible.
3. Make the process of getting them at least a work visa relatively simple.
4. Key point in plan- DO NOT MAKE THEM GO HOME AND RE ENTER THE COUNTRY TO DO SO. Instead, use the resources that were gonna be used for mass deportations and set up local green card offices throughout the Country. Lets get them in the system. They pay income tax, get Drivers Licenses snd insurance. Develop a data base of who has registered and provide them proof. If after adequate time, maybe 2 years, if you do not have at least a green card and still remain here, you get deported. You took my plan, LOL. There's got to be a reset. You know , some of those felons they're looking for might just show up at the "green card office" . The reset has got to include a component of absolutely no welfare or any assistance at all, for non-citizens, as well as kicking all able bodied Americans, that are of working age, off of welfare, and forcing those people that are too lazy to work to either get their butts to work or starve to death. This is just as big of a problem as the illegal immigration. "According to data from the Department of Health and Human Services, roughly 27% of working-age 24-64 adults in the United States participate in a social safety net program, meaning they receive some form of welfare assistance; this translates to around one in four working-age Americans. At a time when the United States is struggling with labor shortages, nearly 20% of prime-age adults—approximately 24 million Americans aged 25-54 — are not working. The vast majority of these people, roughly 21 million, are not even looking for work and are therefore “out of the labor force.” Only three million prime-age adults are seeking work and so are “unemployed”.

Good point , some are making good $ and you touched on the root cause now, cash not paying taxes . And for the employer , no benefits , no taxes withheld , no SS, no workman's comp, etc , etc. Mighty attractive , and in most cases , mighty illegal.
Here’s another issue 2dog, a lot of these guys have fake papers. Employers do hold out taxes on them. The illegal just never files taxes. So that person is actually paying more taxes than they should due to them not getting a refund. So a lot of them are paying into the tax system. We remove those people, but leave the lazy Americans on government assistance and we are farther upside down than we were. [/quote] If I was abetting man I guarantee someone’s cashing out those ads numbers. I’d bet money someone hasn’t figured it out and is scamming the system Maybe Musk’s savant team will find all those systems someone schemed up

That’s also why the average age in the workforce is so much higher. All those older experienced folks that actually work are the ones pulling the economy. I’m gonna get pelted for this but those tax credits for kids need to go away too. Lots of crack heads make it off those payouts. I’ve known few that made it work out along with their theiving ways. Those kids never saw a dime from their tax credits. They got checks because they had non income or very little but still filed taxes

Started out contractors would go to home depot and pick up a shovel and a couple of immigrants to operate them for next to nothing. It was all good until nojuan realized that the home depot guys started getting organized and the scale increased on the market. It was all started by greed instead of developing and paying for up and coming young talent. Nobody was looking to develop young men the right way and this is what we have. I have not lost faith in the American youth the way some of you have. I develop my own technicians through an apprenticeship program that takes time and money. Even after one of my guy's graduate from a trade school or engineering degree they start at the bottom. The key is they have to paid well to keep them and a progressive salary based on relatively short intervals. The greed of the contractors or employers slowly killed the "want to" of the American workforce. You made your bed now enjoy the fleas that come with it.

When you brake the law, it says everything about your integrity. I don’t give a damn about how hard of a worker you are. You ever drive above the posted speed limit? If so, you broke the law and have no integrity whatsoever. Case closed. That's a civil matter. Next question. Actually, if you are referring to speeding it is not a Civil matter. It is a Criminal Violation. It is the lowest classification of a criminal offense but criminal procedures still apply, such as the offense has to be committed in an officer's presence. Now, Alabama has given some jurisdictions the authority to enforce some traffic offenses civilly, as we are all aware of the Red Light cameras.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Y’all comparing speeding to being in the country illegally is laughable. I thought traffic violations were settled in traffic court and paid for in fines. Not criminal court like felonies are.
Once again. If you knowingly entered our country illegally and aren’t paying taxes on the money you are earning, you have questionable credibility as a person.
And Pwyse, I don’t speed and blatantly break traffic laws. I travel extensively every week and see the dumbass Alabama speeders whom are intentionally or unintentionally trying to kill somebody, me or themselves by driving recklessly over the posted speed limit. That pisses me off too. I try to set an example for the organization that I represent.

We aren’t comparing those two man. You are the one that claimed that anyone who breaks the law has no integrity. We simply showed you that your statement was basically saying that no one has integrity because everyone pretty much breaks the law with the speed limit and filing taxes. Or at least they break the intent of the law. I know I get a couple thousand dollars a year on side jobs that I don’t claim. And I speed on the interstate. And so is everybody else on the interstate. And Leroy I probably have griped about you doing 70 on the interstate if your claims are true. And if people driving 78 mph on the interstate was the cause of traffic fatalities, we would all be dead. You cause more of a hazard driving the speed limit on the interstate. Save some lives and speed with the rest of us please 😂
