They claim it is to compete against states with NO income tax. If they want to do the right thing then they should eliminate everyone's state income tax! What we the people need is for Alabama to get a DOGE exam!

They should work on how to lower tuition costs which would benefit more students than lowering taxes on NIL income which benefits 50 students. You got it! Here's a solution , colleges are awash in $ , their athletic dept can hire a coach for millions , buy out his contract in two years and fire him . Then hire a replacement for more millions. If this is so important , go ahead and give the NIL players a tax break , then the colleges should write the state a check for the amount all their players taxes each year and remit it to the Department of Rev in Montgomery. I'm calling my rep in about 10 minutes.

We are paying tuition to both schools while some kid that probably couldn’t get in on academic merits gets paid millions and get a free education? Hmmm, no thank you.

This reminds me of back when all the BLM stuff was going on about 4 years ago . Most on Aldeer railed against the BLM marches , then when Nick Saban marched it was A-OK.

While we all pretty much are opposed to NIL being tax exempt, we have to realize why it is being done. Some state somewhere already did this and now for AU/UA et al. to keep up it has to be done in our state too. We've got to keep up with the recruiting Joneses. Sorry if this has already been pointed out.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.
