How could we go about getting rifle season extended till the end of February. That would give us more time to shoot a few more does and help to keep the population from getting out of control. Maybe we could also get a bonus buck tag that could be used in the 18 days of extended season.

I would not be in favor of an 18 day extension unless the 18 days were taken out of December. That would only be for extreme south Alabama though. For my place in Evergreen the week of 2/10-2/17 is a great time to catch an older buck on their feet looking for the last few does. I think a season structure like Northwest Florida would be ideal. I hunted Walnut Hill area for 15 years and it was really nice to hunt the entire rut and a little of the post.

If you could afford to use our courts to appeal all the way up to the Alabama Supreme Court, I believe it could be made to happen under strict scrutiny.

What other God-given right can you name that sees the flagrant restrictions that hunting does?

If that is what you want, I'd suggest the following: Bow season opens as usual. Primitive muzzle loader (no scopes, no in-lines) from Nov 15th through Nov 30th. Season is closed completely from Dec 1 through Jan 15th. Gun season opens on Jan 15th and closes on Feb 28th. 2 buck limit with the rifle and no does can be killed with rifles after Jan 31st. Other than the rifle limits, no season limits on does or bucks.

Maybe Central to North Bama, but not down South where I'm at. I see the best chasing during Turkey Season. And spotted fawns in November.

Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

If a doe is killed, does it really matter if it happened before or after she was bred?

No joke. Just not enough days to kill all does that need to be killed. I needed to kill at least 7 more this year. I had 4 properties that didn’t have a single doe shot this season.

If you want less deer killed. And you want more of a challenge. The solution is to end stalk hunting and make it dog hunting only for all but 2 weeks of the season.

All you gotta do is ask for some help killing some during the season we have now.

It doesn't matter at all. Especially if you're goal is to have less deer, which presumably is the goal with all doe killing that "needs" to be done.
