I am looking for a middle of the road crossbow. I hope to find a good buy this off season. Has anyone noticed a good deal on a decent one? Any suggestions on a specific make/model that is built decent, light weight and not bulky?

The killer instinct brand is decent & very cheap.

Some people complain of broken limbs. To solve that throw the light weight bolts that come with the bow in the trash and buy some heavier ones. You are going to lose a little speed, but it will still be lightening fast. My buddy in Minn is really sick, and $ is tight. I bought him one this season, and it is accurate to ~50 yards.

I've got one that needs strung. Haven't shot in in years. Probably never will. Been sitting in my garage. Shoot me a text tomorrow afternoon and I'll get the details on it. 205-706-4356. It's been so long I can't remember a single detail about it.

I shoot Excalibur you can run over it with your truck and still shoot it. It may not fit the light and not bulky unless you look at the most recent models. Just realize before you buy one you will be labeled as part of what is wrong with the deer herd

Im getting one before next season. Ihope to become part of whats wrong with the deer herd around here. In three years ive killed one deer. Ive also spent $2500 planting food plots and fed 10 tons of corn. I figure ive earned it.

I highly recommend that you get one with a built in c rank. I have a Ravin R10 and love it.

I have killed the only 2 deer I have shot at with it. Both at 30yds. Neither flinched before bolt hit them. A152" and a 176" both in Kansas.

My wife shoots the wicked ridge with the built in crank and she is deadly. Before my injury and more arthritis onset i hunted with a bear take down hunter recurve. Crossbows have the advantage in that you don't have to draw if the deer is close. They are just like everything else though people start working to make them shoot farther and farther. I kill most deer at 30 yards or less only killed 2 in my life over 40 and 1 was with a compound.

Fattyfireplug I appreciate the offer. If it is anything like the one I had, I'll pass since it is for my 14 yo. I hope he takes to it and want to get him something that is not like carrying a tree top through the woods. I had an old one that I used some, but the weight and bulkiness was awful.

I appreciate everyone's responses, I'll check a few of them out. I like the idea of the 10 point being an American company. I'll start looking at them.

I have a wicked ridge invader and it is super accurate and solidly built. Have had it for several years and had one warranty concern which was quickly handled by ten point. Highly recommend it.

10 Point is hard to beat but pricey. They also make Wicked Ridge at a lower price

Ten point. Their customer service is great even when you do something stupid like shoot it with the cocker attached.

I have an excellent ten point as that just had the limbs and spring replaced . Comes with a case and 12 lumi knock bolts ,and a hard case . I live in cullman also if you want to look and shoot it . It cost $1400 new but it has been used . Only reason it’s up for sale is the limb cracked and marks couldn’t fix it before season . Give me a call / come shoot it and we can discuss a decent price .

I’ve got a Barnett ghost 360. It’s on target at 70 yards. I’ve had it about 3 years. No complaints.
