The killer instinct brand is decent & very cheap. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08H89RP14?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1&th=1Some people complain of broken limbs. To solve that throw the light weight bolts that come with the bow in the trash and buy some heavier ones. You are going to lose a little speed, but it will still be lightening fast. My buddy in Minn is really sick, and $ is tight. I bought him one this season, and it is accurate to ~50 yards.

I've got one that needs strung. Haven't shot in in years. Probably never will. Been sitting in my garage. Shoot me a text tomorrow afternoon and I'll get the details on it. 205-706-4356. It's been so long I can't remember a single detail about it.

Just realize before you buy one you will be labeled as part of what is wrong with the deer herd Im getting one before next season. Ihope to become part of whats wrong with the deer herd around here. In three years ive killed one deer. Ive also spent $2500 planting food plots and fed 10 tons of corn. I figure ive earned it.

I highly recommend that you get one with a built in c rank. I have a Ravin R10 and love it. I have killed the only 2 deer I have shot at with it. Both at 30yds. Neither flinched before bolt hit them. A152" and a 176" both in Kansas.

I hope he takes to it and want to get him something that is not like carrying a tree top through the woods. I had an old one that I used some, but the weight and bulkiness was awful. I appreciate everyone's responses, I'll check a few of them out. I like the idea of the 10 point being an American company. I'll start looking at them.

I’ve got a Barnett ghost 360. It’s on target at 70 yards. I’ve had it about 3 years. No complaints.
