Which rifle would you want? Can't decide between a Ruger ranch or a Howa mini
We will burn that bridge when we get there

What i would like to have is a 350 legend lever gun but apparently no one who builds guns thinks that is a good idea Believe cause it would be a pain in the butt from my understanding
Do not regret growing older, it's a privilege denied to many!

What i would like to have is a 350 legend lever gun but apparently no one who builds guns thinks that is a good idea I have a Marlin 375 in 375 winchester, that I got from James. It's a fine lever gun and the 375 winchester is far superior to the 350 legend. It's based on the 38-55 winchester. Buffalo bore and Reeds Research both offer 38-55 and 375 in 200 grain and 225 grain. Ammo availability is the only drawback. Occasionally Winchester will put out a big run but not every year.
My opinions and comments are my own. They do not reflect the position or political opinions of Aldeer or any of the Aldeer administration.

Oh yeah the 35 Rem is a fine round. And it's hard to beat a 336 Marlin.

Looks like about the same bullet. I guess about 7% bigger? 375 packs a much bigger punch with larger weights available. Flatter trajectory and it's available in lever action. Personally I like the 200 grain Sierra BTSP. The recoil is a bit stronger than the 350 but it's really about like shooting a 30-30.

I would buy a Marlin 336 in 35 Remington. Ammo cost too much for what I'm wanting. I can order all the 350 legend sub sonic I can stand for $15 a box

Honestly I think the 350 shines the most in a AR15 and that would be my choice. But that’s not what you asked and I don’t want to be one of those guys. My vote goes to the Ruger American stanch as well. I just don’t think you can beat them for the money. I have a 350 Legend in an AR platform with a 16” barrel. I’ve killed a ton of animals with it shooting the Win 180gr soft points. I really like it for hunting feeders and water holes for axis in Sonora. If I’d go it again I’d probably go with an 18-20” barrel just to gain a little extra velocity. Other than that I find myself grabbing that rifle more than any other in the AR platform.

This is what i gonna get. This and my Hybrid would be fun shooting ![[Linked Image]](https://i.postimg.cc/L5pNLf7K/Screenshot-20250215-215349-Chrome.jpg) And, the new CVA Stainless Scouts are now out in 360 Buck Hammer. And If you reload you can use 30-30 brass and fire form.
Remember: It aint what you shoot...it's how you shoot it.

No such thing in knockdown power in a deer rifle. If it doesn't knock you down on your end, it's not going to do different on the other end.You need a literal cannon to actually knock a deer over.
People go to a lot of trouble to avoid a .223. Too easy, I guess. Bullshit!!! I’ve knocked plenty of deer down!! Especially with the 35 Whelen. Plenty with the 350 legend. One was a 185 8pt. Knocked him down right there. Matter of fact it turned him a flip. Knocked a 240lb boar hog down one afternoon. Knocked him down right where he stood. Knocked a few truck loads of the down with the 308. I can promise you there is a such thing as knock down power.

Sorry guys was not trying to start a fight note to self don’t use the term knock down power You used the correct terminology. My 350 Legend with the 180gr soft points has plenty of knock down power. It even knocks down big Axis bucks in Sonora Texas!!!

I was looking for something with a little more energy down range than the 300 black out did I get it right this time Mr howl There's a video on YouTube of a doe shot heart/lung with a .50 BMG. It ran off. You can't put enough energy on target in and of itself. What does what people think energy does is velocity of hydraulic action and fragments of the bullet acting on the nervous system. See above example of 7mm08 with 140gr ballistic tip. Classic. What you want to achieve is most easily done with a 223 and high shoulder shot placement. Most of the deer we shoot with a 223 collapse on the spot. You've probably already got an AR. There's no reason to avoid using it.

Winchester Low Wall. There is a gorgeous new one at the local gun store. Looks like it has upgraded wood.

I watched a couple kids shoot deer with a AR platform 350 Legend and wound up getting one myself for "youth" hunts.
I have been generally impressed with the 350 Legend. I do believe it is best at shorter ranges. For hogs and deer around 100yards it will kill the crap out of something.
I'd get an AR platform I think that is what this round is best suited for. In a bolt gun you've got more and better options.
No government employees were harmed in the making of this mess.

I kinda want one in an AR as well... It’s my go to AR now. I never go on a hunting trip anywhere that it’s not in the truck. Small, lightweight, accurate and no recoil to speak of. I never tried any other rounds because I’m not sure it could shoot any better then the Win 180gr sp.
It's hard to kiss the lips at night that chews your a$$ all day long.

I'm a definite proponent of 350 Legend in an AR platform. A lot of punch for the package. I originally picked up a 300 BO barrel to play with but it became OBE when the 350 Legend came out. Easier to reload and better ballistics. Just need the time to work up something for my Shaw barrelled upper. For deer and up, it won't replace a 450 Bushmaster for those that don't mind a thump on both ends.
