I wonder how large the department was before this? Is anyone left or have they turned everything over to the SO? As of now there are three part time and three full time officers remaining. If they are decent officers maybe they can be absorbed by the SO since they will now be covering the city which adds to the workload. Besides the routine LE criminal stuff, SOs are also tasked with a lot of other details such as serving Civil papers, transporting prisoners to and from other jurisdiction and to Doctor and dentist visits. You might not think a small town like this would add much to the load but you'd be surprised at all it can add. How does it work for the city ordinances? Will the SO enforce those, pick and choose which ones they enforce or drop them all?
