I was just asked to be the football coach here in Bluffton Sc. They are ten year olds. Should I make them watch the Junction Boys movie? I will coach to win. Not this participation BS.

Piss on "winning" at that age....the primary focus of any sport at that age should be learning proper technique and fundamentals. We were involved with youth football for 3-4 years because my daughter was in the cheer program associated with it. I can honestly say I have not seen a single coach attempt to teach proper form/technique/fundamentals.

GomerJr was going to play in year 1 (I think he was 9 or 10 at the time). Literally the first practice, the coach had the 9/10yo's running Oklahoma drills when most had never played a down of football. 2 kids ended up with concussions (GomerJr being one). That was the first and last day of him playing in that league but we saw several kids get hurt over the few years we were loosely involved with it. He started back in middle school, with proper coaches, and it's been night/day different.

I still have my playlist from my son’s 8-12 age group. We whooped tail, beat Fayette and Windfield several times, Northside too.
I really enjoy it.
Good luck!

Good luck with it winning is just a piece of it at that age. Technique, sportsmanship, take care of equipment, good firm hand shake, get mad and move on to the next play, respect the game the coach and others, learn to win and loose and the rules of the game………….. Win them all if you can.

I agree with the above. Teach them proper technique first! It will come in handy for them down the road

Sorry guys left out a small detail. It’s flag football. I’m like wtf. Wife says do it. Gets me out of the house. Might be fun.
