GomerJr was going to play in year 1 (I think he was 9 or 10 at the time). Literally the first practice, the coach had the 9/10yo's running Oklahoma drills when most had never played a down of football. 2 kids ended up with concussions (GomerJr being one). That was the first and last day of him playing in that league but we saw several kids get hurt over the few years we were loosely involved with it. He started back in middle school, with proper coaches, and it's been night/day different.
