This can only be a good thing, considering how poorly the USPS is currently run.

It's a train wreck currently. Hope his administration can fix it.

Shaking things up in the federal government is good any way you look at it. People there are going to get the message to get to work or lose your job. Welcome to reality.

Next thing he needs to tackle is the VA hospital system. Both the VA and USPS is full of democrat din-do nuffin's that are collecting paychecks and not worth a damn at their jobs. IDGAF what color you are, do your mother effing job.

The Constitution provides for a postal service. So there will be one, unfortunately. It doesn't say it has to be what it is currently. There's no way a government run operation can deliver packages, etc. to match a private for-profit.

A privatized postal system can absolutely decide not to deliver to rural homes and locations because it’s not profitable. Some rural folk who are cheering this on could wind up with NO mail service in this new America. Think about that.

Any time a service is privatized, poor folks and rural folks lose access.

Yep; and if you think FedEx will mail a letter 2000 miles for less than a dollar it will be a rude awakening. USPS is still much less expensive; and the service quality is about the same.
But; they can make a lot of improvements. First; quit catering to Bezos.

The constitution ALLOWS for a postal service. It does not in any way guarantee or protect one.

I hope he has the military to drop a MOAB on that disfunctional shithole USPS Distribution Center in Birmingham. And I hope all the Canadians are at work the day it happens.

Get the F out of the BATFE. The F is guaranteed by the US Constitution. Those other letters are not.
