I know it’s been discussed on here before about peoples experience with Donovan lakes in Marion, but I can’t get the search engine to pull it up. How is the fishing in the 4 Donovan lakes for those that have fished them?

Tip for using the search feature...add the information you're wanting to search for and the forum you want to search in(in this case, "donovan" in the fishing forum)
In the "Date Range" section, in the Newer Than blocks, delete the 1 and click the drop down in the next block and click the blank area above Days. That will allow you to pull up all of the results. Leaving the info in these blocks defaults to results from the last year

Decent not great. You need to spend some time down there and really learn the lakes to be consistently successful

Been close to 25 years or more since I fished it as a kid. I remember the fishing could be good, but most of the time it was pretty tough. The thing I remember the most was the wind was always blowing there. Pushed our little jon boat all over the place.

Pretty sure the place is for sale. Wonder if memberships are still available. Fished there a few times 20+ years ago. Decent chance to catch a big fish from what I remember

It is for sale, memberships would be at discretion of new owner. They already sold the Bar D side and that owner made it private. Talked to the lake manager last week and sounds like they are asking soo much for it he doesn't expect it to sale any time soon. He currently has 20 +/- members in it this year

They quit putting money into the place and it went to shit is my knowledge of what happened to it. I caught some good ones the last time a customer took me down there but it's nothing special
