They're one of the coolest looking guns ever made , I bet the 20 is sweet !!!

I went through about $250 worth of turkey tubes and never got it to pattern worth $hit . Was a pretty gun though

I shot those Winchester Supremes #5 and #6 til they stopped making them. Red shells and deadly. I switched over to LBXR #6. It wasn’t a 50yd gun but never let me down 40 and under.

So I guess a late '40s Winchester 1897 is right out, then? I knew last week when the tella explained that .270 win and the 7-08 are neither adequate Alabama whitetail rifles that I have a lot to learn.

My main gun is a Retay Gordion 12g with the 24” barrel. It’s been tried and true the last 3 seasons and I couldn’t be happier.

My secondary that I carry just about anytime I hunt with someone else is a youth 870 20 gauge. Got a collapsible, AR-15 style stock and grip and had it dipped in bottomland at Jay’s Hydrographics…..it’s a MEAN machine.

The only other gun I’ve thought about is an over/under but don’t really need it. Don’t mean I won’t get one though lol

I know I’m weird but lite weight sub gauges with short barrels just don’t sit as steady/still on my knee as my 11-87, I call her Diana Ross. When those 3 dots get lined up we playing for keeps. She loves mag blends and any kind of TSS as long as it isn’t the junk Apex tried to give us when they were starting out

The hardest I’ve ever been kicked while shooting a turkey was with a ruger red label 28ga that had the straight “English style” stock. No lie

This year my main go to will be a mossberg sa-28 tactical. Shooting fox trot 8.5x 9,s. Back up will be the remington 870 20 ga. I found a 21 inch barrel for it aboutv5 years ago. It's a shooter with the apex 9's. If I feel real froggy I'll take the Steven's 301 410 shooting
Fox trot 9.5x 10.

if i hadnt taken up hunting i might have became a juvenile delinquent or worst taken up GOLF

These are both Remington 870 20 gauge guns my buddy & I modified for tss guns back before tss was common. We both still use them, and still shoot our own tss shells.

I shoot a 12 3.5 NWTF silver browning auto and a Franchi affinity pistol grip 12 3inch. Now i just have to have turkeys to hunt. Hardest gun I've ever turkey hunted with was a Mossberg 835

You remember those snub nose ones with 18” barrels. They’d stomp.
That 1300 still hurt worse to me. Couldn’t imagine shooting shooting it off a bench

20 ga 870 Compact Jr. (18.5" barrel) + a Choate Mark 5 pistol grip stock - been shooting this one since 2020 and haven't seriously considered anything else.

I found mine last year. 11-87 20 ga with 21in barrel and shur-shot stock. Vortex Venom, trigger and forcing cone work. Dipped in Greenleaf. It’s perfect.
