ford150man OP Old Mossy Horns Joined: Dec 2004 Posts: 19,299 .	An old hand co-worker, that put in 38 years at work passed away yesterday. I had the pleasure of working with him for 18 years before he was forced to retire due to a stroke, about a year and a half ago. He had multiple strokes, after retirement, for the next year and a half, and just couldn’t recover from it. His body finally gave up the fight yesterday and he went home to be with the Lord. He used to talk about looking forward to retirement a lot and didn’t get to go when he was ready, or on his terms. Damn shame. The man put in 38 years and didn’t get to enjoy one single day of retirement. This isn’t one of those “sorry for your loss” posts, just a reminder to us all to live life to the fullest fellows. When he finally retired from the state rd dept., he was already being struck down with some very debilitating arthritis. Spent most of the rest of his time here in a wheelchair. Better live life to the fullest while we can.
