Anyone have a replacement or where to get it? Had trouble getting it back on and think I stripped the screw during it on the battery cap. Thanks in advance

If you send the whole thing in, they'll just send you a whole new one back. And be sure to harass them about a screwdriver made to fit the blame thing. It's a problem for everyone.

You don't have to send it in. Just tell them you need a cap. I'm sure they see this hundreds of times daily

Same exact thing happened to Foldemup year before last in Washington. We ended up going to Bass Pro and he bought another FF3 the next day. Complete sh*t design!!!

That was my experience too. The first one I got came with a cap that was so thin that it only had 2 or 3 threads on it and they stripped. I called and asked for another one and they sent me one. The replacement was much thicker and had a lot more threads and has worked fine.

And this reminds me I need to replace that battery. Pro tip - do it now and don't wait until the day before the season. Don't ask me why I know that. smile

I had the same experience with the Vortex Venom. Same thin cap that stripped after a couple tries. They sent me a new cap and the only way I got it to completely close was to remove the rubber o-ring. Not ideal for sure.

Yep, I changed a perfectly good battery in fear of it going out during a week long hunt. I think the rubber gasket that goes around the base of battery compartment had gotten a little crooked and wouldn’t let my top engage the threads. I tore it all to hell trying to fix it. Ended up buying a vortex to give it a try. They need to design a cap that can be removed without any tools.

I hate changing the battery. I guess I need to go ahead and change mine now since I skipped doing it last year. I opted out of doing it last year just because I didnt want to deal with the battery cap. Terrible battery design on great product.

I have a couple Venoms. I found if I spin it backwards until it seats, I run a less risk of cross threading and stripping it. Still not a good design though.

Good deal. Burris has an unconditional lifetime warranty, I had no doubt that they would fix it.

I never had an issue getting the battery cap back on. Once you push the battery down enough to seat it, the caps have always went right on for me. If you don’t seat the battery, you’ll have issues.

I only had trouble with the first one that I bought, due to it being so thin and having so few threads on it. The replacement cap is plenty thick and hasn't been a problem at all. I replaced my battery yesterday. I have 2 others that have been fine too.

I think the problem might have been with the earliest ones they produced, and they corrected the issue. As you said, you gotta seat the battery first. The Burris is a good sight, but I sure wish I could still see well enough to get by without it.
