Subsection (a) shall not apply to—
(1) the lawful performance of official duties by an officer, agent, or employee of the United States, a State, or a political subdivision thereof, who is authorized by law to engage in or supervise the prevention, detection, investigation, or prosecution of any violation of law;
(2) the possession of a firearm or other dangerous weapon by a Federal official or a member of the Armed Forces if such possession is authorized by law; or
(3) the lawful carrying of firearms or other dangerous weapons in a Federal facility incident to hunting or other lawful purposes.

Keep in mind. This is in the Luverne Post Office. I just noticed it for the first time today because I was looking in that direction.  Crenshaw county, may have the highest ownership rate in the State. I know we are regularly in the 88%+ category.

To hell with the 2nd Amendment, by decree of the king.  Every gun law on the books is unconstitutional. Every one is an infringement. The only gun law I would support was one where the government required every citizen to carry a firearm.

I took my K-9 Tax into the Cahaba Heights Post Office years ago. I was in uniform, working. Fat black bitch employee had a melt down because my dog was in there. I showed her the poster on working dogs, she just got louder. finally told he to just. shut the fk up.....loudly too. Postmaster finally came out and told her to shut up`. She mouthed off to him and he fired her on the spot. Very satisfying outcome.
I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

Notice the words "Postal Property". The parking lot is considered postal property as well. Yup. Postal Property has very clear and very strong pins. Usually.

I went inside the other day and before doing so looked for the sign and none were posted. I went ahead and conceal carried and kept wondering. I’d thought maybe with the SCOTUS ruling about carrying on national parks the post office deal had changed.
