well i am guessing bc of the warmer weather, we’re seeing bugs underneath the bigger leaves in our collard bed … when the sun shines down on them, you can see them swarming up above them …

is there some sort of spray or dust we can use to get rid of them? Malathion maybe? 🤷🏻‍♂️

Thatll work. I usually use 7dust on em. I feel like malathion is just so strong, smell and residuals. Im not confident you can wash it off. Not sure its actually food safe??

Supposed to wait for a frost to eat them. That aught to take care of the bugs too

May try experimenting with planting citronelle, marigolds, or some other plants that have a strong smell in warmer months. Some water down herbal sprays like mint on plants could be thing to research to use now over harsh chemicals that way you could even spray down plants and eat the same day.

well - in spite of everything trying it’s best to get after our collards - they are still producing for us … we are very impressed at how hardy the Georgia collards are we’ve planted the past couple years
