Total is for only 10 counties. Nope. It’s the statewide total. They list the top 10 counties.

Basically 60% bucks and 40% does killed. 🤔 Saw that too, but I guess that could be good or bad. It depends on what was killed where. It’s all site specific I believe. The state(s) still depends upon us to make the final call, somewhat. You want/need to hunt til February? Here ya go. Need to kill more does in this area? Here ya go. Just like several have stated on here, managing wildlife is easy. Managing people (to not be greedy and do the right thing in specific areas) is extremely difficult.

Wuzz up?? where can we see detailed numbers like that for our state? Right here on Aldeer!! These details are elementary compared to some of CnC’s graphs! 😂

Considering natural mortality is higher in bucks it simply skews the herd numbers.

Considering natural mortality is higher in bucks it simply skews the herd numbers. I’ll agree with that, if that natural mortality rate is actually higher for bucks. I’m not sure how much that actually changes the overall numbers, or how they even gathered the data for that. I guess we take their word for it. For the resource to continue, we need more baby makers than bucks though. Just not more than the habitat can handle. Here’s to better habitat management, trigger control, and good times🍻. Unfortunately habitat is out for the largest landowners of this state. Maybe they’ll start making pine trees that grow bigger antlers.
