Is there a place where they make such announcements? There was nothing on the forestry commission website, and they don't keep up their X account. My wife found a post from an individual on FB, but I haven't found anything official anywhere. I can't blame them for calling a halt when conditions are bad, but I don't see why they can't make it public on a government site. The dispatcher I talked to this morning didn't know; he said the word comes down from the "higher ups."

I don't like to burn when there's a lot of wind, but today would have been perfect for what I wanted to do. Maybe I will get another chance.
