It has been answered several times. In a well managed herd fawn recruitment and herd health are much better than the ideology of don’t shoot baby makers. Looks can be deceiving when understanding a healthy deer herd.
If we hypothetically just completely quit shooting does......the doe population eventually would still cap out and reach a maximum number correct?? Doubtful. They’d be less healthy and then a disease would cut em back I venture to guess. Plus a WAG would include an uptick in predators like yotes. Doesn’t predators ebb and flow with prey populations Just curios if you have the ability to look at a doe and see that she is in great health nutritionally?
