My question is for those that have used them… are the ones that are $5000 that much better than the ones that are $2000. I have been looking for a while as well but have zero experience with them. There has to be a point of diminishing return, i just dont know enough to determine where that is. They are all China made crap. US distributors order them from China, change the cheap China made brakes and gears. Then they slap some pre made cover on the frame to hide the battery and slap a sticker on them. These “manufacturers” have about $800 a unit invested in the whole thing. LOL Just one of several not made in China - The Lectric eBikes are made in Phoenix, Arizona. The company is based in the city and is considered one of the fastest-growing e-bike companies in the United States.
