This. That’s why I hate all these executive orders. Don’t get me wrong it’s better than not getting things done. Trump needs to push in congress to start passing some legislation with all this stuff or we will just be right back where we were if a democrat gets in

And none of these huge thousand page bills, either. It would be great to have things pass by voting on a single issue at a time. I think a lot of what holds everything up is having so many issues in one package because enough folks will object to one thing and vote against it even if they are in favor of the rest.

I've been waiting a long time for it to be done. Way over due.... Executive orders are created or nullified by every President hits the oval office these days...but it takes 2/3rds of congress to pass or nullify a law...right ? Laws are very hard to undo if at all. always got some bleeding hearts on one side or the other to block.

I can understand getting some standing orders placed so certain things can move forward or be stopped... but right behind it should be congress presenting bills passed for President Trump to sign into law that is best for the country and freedom and all it represents.

We have the majority of congress ...if they're not going to act on passing laws to better this country ..make us great again...then what are we fighting for ???

Its not meaningless. Its imperative that the voice of the government be standardized to one language in order to have coherent legal formulation and understanding. Right now, there is not, and it is very easy for other language speakers to claim mistranslation of official government directives and statements. The public can have as many different languages as they like and still do. The government's official voice though must be one standardized language.

English is a great language.

We took all the good stuff out of German and French and created English.

One day when some illegal non English-speaking Reading alien who has been issued a Drivers License hits and kills you, family member or friend you will eat those words!

If one cannot read and speak the country's language, they should not be issued a driver's license nor be allowed to drive in country. That should be part of what is required to pass the tests to be granted a license.

Yeah. It’s created a huge problem the last 250 years. Thank God they got it done. Finally. American’s lives are so much better now.

And how does saying English is the official language keep that from happening?

I’m not sure why speaking a language would help you drive better. But people that can’t read shouldn’t be kept from getting a license.

If they can’t speak English most probably can’t read it either. I can’t speak or read Spanish or and other languages for that matter.

How about reading a sign, you know Stop, Yield, Keep moving to name a few
