They are all China made crap. US distributors order them from China, change the cheap China made brakes and gears. Then they slap some pre made cover on the frame to hide the battery and slap a sticker on them. These “manufacturers” have about $800 a unit invested in the whole thing.

LOL Just one of several not made in China - The Lectric eBikes are made in Phoenix, Arizona. The company is based in the city and is considered one of the fastest-growing e-bike companies in the United States.

Just to get back to this discussion. Lectric Bikes are from Phoenix Arizona, Rambo is from Lakewood Minnesota, Quiet Kat is from Colorado. They all source their bikes from China and then make tailor made improvements to the units. Then put a price tag on it that will ensure them 400- 900% profit per unit depending on the model. I have a friend who has worked for almost all of these "bike manufacturers" until he struck out on his own doing coversions and running his own bike shop. He told me how all these companies work.

If you still don't believe me though, please read below.

https://ecomotioncentral.com/where-is-lectric-bikes-made/

Lectric Bikes source all their bike parts (Frames, motors, and all) from China and assemble them in Phoenix so they can slap a Made in the USA sticker on them. I'm not slamming them because heck I did the exact same thing. I bought a Mongoose (Made in China) and replaced most of the parts on it to the good stuff and then reassembled it. Then again I'm not trying to say it was made in the USA and sell it for 900% profit either.

You can order the same bikes straight from their suppliers in China….it takes a little work though

I’ve got a Rambo that I really like but as mentioned above the derailleur and the chain are the achiilles heel of these bikes. Catch it on a stob and its history. Quiet kat has a model out now that has an internal transmission in the motor (can be either mid drive or hub) so the derailleur is not necessary and pairs that with a heavy duty motorcycle chain. That’s my next bike but they pricey.

the torque/power of a mid drive system is undeniable, but there’s a point where the power can’t be put to use bc of traction. my buddy has a spartan mid drive single speed, it’s just low enough gear that u can go slow and has plenty of power but high enough to go 18-20mph, it’s a beast in the power department.

but at no point in 2.5 years was the dual motor not enough power and i wasn’t spinning. i honestly don’t know how many “speeds” the bike has bc i never use them and should make it a single speed to remove the derailleur from potential problems, bc it has gotten grass hung up in it and stopped moving, but the pedals are just footrests for me

also, if the chain breaks on a hub motor bike, i can still ride it back to the truck. if the hubs break, i can pedal back

Give me bout 15 more minutes, I was dreamin about beavers..........
