I lease roughly 1150 acres from Westervelt in North Tuscaloosa County near Old Watermelon Road. I'm the only member. I have had the place to myself for three years and my wife is making me look to split the lease costs with someone. The property is an hour from Birmingham and the only place I have found with good turkey hunting that close to the city. I am looking for one or two more people. The turkey hunting is strong. The deer hunting is good - great genetics and decent numbers. I do almost all my deer hunting in Southeast Alabama, so you would pretty much have the deer season to yourself and the tractor guy who does my food plots (who hunts a handful of times a year). If one person wants to join, the membership price is $6,500k. If it's two people, the cost is half that - $3,250. The property is a diverse mix of different aged pine timber, hardwood bottoms, select cut timber, areas that have been recently burned, and clear-cuts. A creek and hardwood bottom form my western border. Another creek and hardwood bottom runs east to west through the center of the property. The roads and access to the property are great. There are shooting houses on most food plots. I'll try to check this forum for responses, but I usually give a quicker response to inquiries by email (wsmith@maynardnexsen.com) and texts (205-356-6886).
