The wife was gone all day yesterday and when she got home she asked what I had been up to all day. My response, “oh the usual, cleaned off the back porch, put the pool furniture out, pressure washed the patio and house, cleaned the pool, cleaned the windows, bought a boat, hauled off some garbage to the dump and donations to the Baptist Association …”. Her response, “wait…WHAT?” Yeah, I don’t think I’m allowed to play with you anymore Fatty Fireplug, for putting me on the boat.

I’m in the dog house as well. I bought a piece of property close to my hunting land to build and rv park and another camp on and never really ran it by her. I mentioned it the other night and it was a big ordeal so I just dropped it. So the next day I made an offer on the property and he took it. I came home and told her and she blew a fuse. She asked why I just do stuff without talking to her and I told her everytime I do she complains and thinks I’m stupid so I just don’t say anything. She asked how I was gonna pay for it and I told her all the money that our rental had been making all these years is gonna pay for it and we don’t have to come out of pocket none. Then she changed her tone when she realized that I can make some money on this place and add to the rental income that we already have. Needless to say I didn’t get any sex last night but she calmed down

Amazing out of all that great stuff you did she caught one thing

My wife does that. I can do all kinds of stuff and be productive all day. I can knock out a list of honeydo's she's made. But she will latch on to one negative. I love her, but it's what she does.

She asked me about it yesterday. Why I helped my neighbor repair his fence and ignored her honeydo list. My answer was straight forward and honest.

Nobody deserves my time. I give it to those I want, when I want, how I want and for as long as I want. Nobody is entitled to it. Showing ingratitude will get you on the bottom of that list. The neighbor is nice. He is old. He needs assistance mending the fence between my property and his. I offered to help. We worked until he couldn't and stopped. It keeps my dogs from barking at his because they can see his dogs. I also built up our garden and took her to Tractor supply for whatever she wanted except chickens.

Men and women lose track of their blessings. They also fail to show gratitude for the spouses hard work. As I have got older I just don't tolerate it as well as I used to.

You did too much stuff, that perked her ears up. If you had said, "Oh just played on aldeer and watched some TV," she might have missed the boat part.
