Seems like we all have been very busy. No posts in over 2 and 1/2 weeks.

Hey guys, I killed a 210 lb 5.5 yr old 8pt yesterday afternoon in South Monroe County. My wife and I hunted a food plot and saw 11 does/yearlings and 6 bucks. We could hear the buck making scrapes and rubbing trees as he approached the plot. Once he entered the plot he put on a heck of a show chasing bucks and displaying his dominance.

Great buck!!! WOW. I went Saturday and had two does run up on me right when I getting ready to leave. Thought the first one was a spike so I watched then i realized it was a nice doe and she had me spotted and i couldn't move without spooking them. they ran off and blew.
Today I got off a couple hours early and hunted a new spot i found last year. saw one in some really thick stuff and heard a couple more running in it but didn't show . not sure what it was. walked like a buck but i couldn't tell.

My first coyote!! day of vacation today. Third time hunting this place. Seen deer each time. About 10:00 AM I heard something behind me. turned and saw a small doe. in and gone no chance to get on her. About 5 minutes later, heard something running behind me. By the time I got turned around, it was gone. About 10 minutes later, heard something again. I was in my climber so I stood and turned with my rifle ready. About 75 yards ahead(earlier behind me) I saw 2 coyotes running same path doe earlier had taken. One split off turned around and came straight at me. My gun was up and I was getting ready to shoot it running ,head on. He stopped turned left and I nailed him. He flipped once and never moved. It wasn't a deer but was exciting.

Come on guys! why aren't yall sharing anything? Nobody has hunted or seen anything interesting in the last 18 days?

I hunted the afternoon of Sat, Dec 8th and saw 2 does and 1 buck. Buck came in plot late and all I could tell was that he had a really tall rack. I hunted again yesterday morning and saw 4 does, spike, cowhorn and wide 2.5 yr old 6pt that should be a dandy in 2 years. I'm heading to NYC tomorrow and will not be back until Christmas Eve.

I got another nice 8 last night will post the pics when I get home Tomorrrow.

Hey guys heres my eight point from this weekend, I also shot a 120Lb doe but forgot they counted in the contest and never took a picture of her. I think I have posted it right in the contest thread. 8pts, 175, 19"beam lenhgt, 15 spread.

Hey guys looks like a good weekend coming weather wise I hate for the team I forgot to take a pic of the doe I shot before it went to the processor. I will be hunting hard this Friday through Monday. Good luck guys. Ray

Tied up all this weekend but am taking a day of vacation monday to hunt.

Finally got a doe. Shot her this morning at 10:45 AM EST. She was about 40 yards away and ran maybe 60 yards. Ray Charles could have followed the blood trail.

Going to try one more time this afternoon. just waiting another 30 minutes to leave work. Then drive home, change, load the 4 wheeler and drive to the woods. Hope to be in a tree by 10 after 3 for at least two hours and a half of shooting light.
going to my favorite spot. I will have to wait and see. Just thankful to be going!!!
