This will be the second year in a row that I won't be going to Nebraska. They limited the non resident tags and now it's impossible to get tags. They go on sale on a particular date in January and you can sit there and try to buy them for a couple of hours and get "error" messages every time you put them in the cart. Then after much frustration, they are sold out and done.

You will wait a while until your number comes up, but haven’t had any errors.

My thoughts: He might be the most narcissist dickhead that ever put on a turkey vest.

My thoughts: He might be the most narcissist dickhead that ever put on a turkey vest. This exactly … “Real” Turkey Hunters Have a job, a family to attend to, and a life. I was three hours away last year heading to and out of state hunt when my son got sick at daycare in which we had nobody to pick him up and take care of him. I had to turn around, drive the three hours back and keep him the entire next day basically running and out of state hunt planned for over a year. It’s just part of being a dad, and I wouldn’t trade being a dad or my son for any semblance of being a “real” Turkey Hunter in his book. I guess he would just see this as an excuse, therefore making me in his book not a “real” turkey hunter. I don’t have the ability to make excuses, but like Joe said, I guess I’m not enough of a “real” Turkey hunter.

My thoughts: He might be the most narcissist dickhead that ever put on a turkey vest. This. It blows my mind that his followers can't see what is happening all around them. I swear it is like a dang cult!

All of it started long ago. The cookie was bound to crumble at some point. I'm surprised it lasted this long. I remember when Pinhoti started, and he mentioned it was about creating more opportunities and possibly opening up some ground for people. Our generation absolutely ruined turkey hunting. I love the sport, but I hate what it has become. I hate to be negative about it, but it just is what it is. are you a melinial? if so yes your generation ruined turkey hunting. when the facebook generation came of age the number of turkey hunters EXPLODED. got to get that hero shot for Facebook so some one can pat them on the back and telling them how great they are. everybody gets a trophy generation.

Yet he “whines” every time somebody parks at the same gate as him and wants to hunt the same PUBLIC ground as him.

Apparently most of us aren't REAL TURKEY HUNTERS. Because we have a wife, kids, a real job, and life outside of profiting off the exploitation of a public resource. We don't have 3 months straight to turkey hunt while making a living off it. We are bound by a multitude of other variables. These loss of opportunities REALLY hurt us. So we aren't REAL TURKEY HUNTERS. EDIT: Someone beat me to it. Glad to see so many others on this forum have common sense! Hold up Nancy! I bet the generation back a few still killing them 5-10 bird limits and have been since 1980, slipping under fences and over creeks, knows when the neighbors go to church on Sunday… im not disagreeing with your statement about social media but its not a “melinial” thing its a inner person thing.

My thoughts: He might be the most narcissist dickhead that ever put on a turkey vest. Ya, that comment was a slap in the face to guys like the collective “us” who grind just as hard as he does with what time we have. The comment is so short sighted I don’t even know where to start. Edited to add: I’ve consistently maintained that it is disingenuous and insulting to us common folk for the YouTubers to act like they are doing us a favor and protecting the resource by making videos. No you’re not. You made a brand and tote a camera around to make money so you can support your addiction. Helping the “resource” in what meager way that might be, is only a byproduct of making enough money to hunt as long as you possibly can each season. They just need to call a spade a spade.

I’ve consistently maintained that it is disingenuous and insulting to us common folk for the YouTubers to act like they are doing us a favor and protecting the resource . Well, we said a few years ago - they don’t care if the limit is driven down to 1 bird in every state, or access limited here and there - they’ll just kill 1 where they can and move to the next state. But that local feller down the road that could kill 4 or 5 not long ago - not anymore. He wasn’t a real hunter anyway, right - so screw him. That’s what I’m hearing.
