Centerfire suppressors generally don't need cleaning, but rimfire cans definitely do.
Threading on a barrel can be generally stated, but there are no absolutes. Most common are 1/2" x 28 and 5/8" x 24, but I have seen 9/16" x 28, .578" x 28, 11/16" x 24, M18 x 1.5, right handed, left handed, metric threads, ad infinitum.
Best rimfire can I have ever used is a Dead Air Mask. If I could easily trade suppressors, I would trade all 3 of my other rimfire cans for that model.
And I would never shoot rimfire through a centerfire can with any regularity.

Look up the Liberty mystic X. It will handle both and comes apart for cleaning. Shooting rimfire will require cleaning.

I would never run my center fire suppressors on a rimfire….. even the ones that are serviceable and rated for it. Rimfire cans are fairly cheap.
I also won’t buy another 223/5.56-specific suppressor. It’s not worth the limitations and stuff with more volume works better anyway, even if the bore is larger. This is the best advice here IMO. You can handle a lot of firearms and calibers with a 22lr can and a 30 or 36 cal. can. The only advantage of a dedicated 223 can is the smaller size and lighter weight, but at the cost of being limited to the smaller bore diameter. The larger capacity on a 30 cal can will make up for the sound lost through the larger diameter bore, and some platforms have replaceable end caps that you can install when you're shooting a sub caliber (the Omega 36m comes to mind) The Omega 36 also can be used on a 9mm handgun.
