That's cheap enough to buy to harvest the shot, if it's good shot.

Hell this time of year you could buy a turkey for half that or less.

I hope you laid in a lifetime supply of shot at those prices.

I’m all about being thrifty but $40/shell for turkey shells is still in the noise. Most folks spend that in gas in a weekend turkey hunting.

If a $8 shell vs a $3 shell means the difference in killing a turkey or not, it’s money well spent.

Well why keep bashing those who do?

You are in almost every thread talking down with a negative comment about TSS.

We know you don’t want to buy it and don’t want to use it, you say so in every thread about it.

How is that helpful to folks asking about it?

I’m glad you can kill them as you see fit and with your selected lead loads.

If a man wants to shoot a 20$ shell, so be it. He can spend his money how he sees fit.

Honestly, As Buckhunter points out the money spent on shells are always the cheapest part of turkey season.

To each his own, I was never a fan of the TSS because I felt it gave me too much of an advantage, like the thread the other day the kill or the hunt. I am more about the hunt. Last year I started using TSS in a .410 and like it for the lightweight gun but still gives me 35-40 yard range. But everyone has their reasons as to what they like to and choose to shoot and that is the way it should be.

I’ll shoot 12 gauge 3.5” TSS until they start making it in 4”.

If you don’t wanna shoot past 40 yards then don’t. That has nothing to do with what ammunition you use.

Myself… I might wanna shoot through some stuff, or John Wayne one, or heck I might wanna kill one at 70 yards… but I’m gonna have the best ammunition for killing a turkey period. I want as many pellets with the most kinetic energy I can get. To each his own.

That’s right. I tried some a few years ears back and wound up crippling this one up pretty good. That stuff is worthless.

The majority who still use 12ga are using lead. All the sporting turkey killers I know who tried 12ga TSS switched to 20ga or smaller after seeing what it did.

Costs me about $5 a shell. That's a 1 3/4 oz load though.

Well, I may have to get me some of those and effectively make my newer gun a rifle!!!!!!!! I only have one shotgun capable of handling newer shot.

So, we can use TSS shells that basically makes a popgun like an old 12/20 gauge and a 12 gauge similar to a rifle with multiple bullets coming out of it at once, yet we can't have an earlier start time to turkey season to coincide with earlier gobbling season? Sounds like the power brokers aren't really turkey hunters, so they need this stuff to shoot out into their large fields at turkeys they can't call.
