I guess everyone's eyes are different.

I was planning to buy a pair of Leica Geovid, until I looked through the Zeiss, which I thought was better, and then the Swarovski SLC.

I bought the Swarovski SLC about 8 years ago, and have never regretted my decision. Just wish I had done it a few decades sooner.

The ELs came in yesterday, they appear to be as advertised. Used them at dusk yesterday evening, bright, clear, focus fast, feel good in my hands. They won't really get a good workout until November. Only gripe, for the price, you figure Swaro could toss in a case but I guess not. They come with a crappy, no padding, pull string "field bag".

I prefer to keep mine in a chest rig, I used a cheap one for years but finally broke down and got a nice one before our Alaska trip last year and I wish I had done it sooner. I find I use them more because its so easy to access them, I also have my rangefinder in a pouch attached to it. plus its nice to have a place I can tuck my phone into and carry a few small things with (I keep my release in mine so I always have it with me when I hunt).

As thayerp81 stated, get a decent chest rig, will be better anyway.

I bought mine new and they did come with a nice carrying case and a few other accessories.

I don’t have a need or I want for a chest rig. Most of my hunting is either in a ladder stand or shooting house. I keep my binoculars in my backpack, which goes with me everywhere.

I use the Rick Young Outdoors neoprene flip cover. Easy to use, dust and bump protection.

I like it better than the factory covers.

I used to do that but decided to lighten my load. Got a bino harness with pouch for the rangefinder and a few other small items.

If it won't fit in the harness or my pockets I leave it at camp. I like it much better.

The binos I use the most have spent I don't care to recall how many years in a pocket of a game bag. The pocket collects lots of twigs and leaves. They look worn, and should considering the years, but I have not noticed any loss of performance. They're the old Leupold Yosemite 6x30. I use them to spot treed squirrels. I bought a couple pair of the Kowa equivalent for my kids. They're a little better. For someone who is already climbing on their 4wheeler half an hour after sunset, they're good enough.

I don't think I could fit enough snacks in a bino harness.

The bino harness is what I'm speaking of, may have misspoke about chest rig. I can keep several items in mine. I don't carry a backpack anymore.
