Living in a fraternity house on the University of Alabama campus. Saw the largest snow ball fight I have ever seen on the Quad. Looked like Confederate and Union forces lining up for battle. Watched a K5 Blazer tear across the rec fields with two ski ropes attached to it tow hitch pulling two guys on knee boards and the list goes on and on. Pretty much every adult abandoned campus and left it to the students for about three days. Great time to be young and alive.

I can tell you 3 wheelers didnt do well in it....too deep My little 87 ranger 4x4 didnt do well after i crested that terrace and rode up on 3' of snow. That thing would climb anything as long as the tires were touching the ground...unfortunately, they weren't then.
The harder I practice, the luckier I get.

Busy not being alive…this place might as well be a nursin home I'm offended by this! Most of us are more like Assisted Living, not a nursing home. I was already an old man that night, and spent most of it wondering if one of the pine trees in my yard would fall on the house. Several came down that night, but that motivated me to get the rest of them cut soon after. Our power was out for about 10 days and I spent many hours running a chain saw to open roads back up. It took years for the land to recover from that storm.
All the labor of man is for his mouth, and yet the appetite is not filled.

I made a baby that week. 9 months later, at the labor and delivery, all rooms were full. There was a baby boom 9 months after the “blizzard”.

2nd morning , Sunday if I remember correctly, I took my Kubota B7100 with box blade and cleared mine and my neighbors driveways.

I was recently married so, for the first 3 days of no electricity(ie:tv) we kept pretty busy. After about day 4 she was like ok, we gotta get out of here. So I dug out my three wheeler and we rode 10 miles on it to her parents house who had never lost electricity.
