Same for the daily gun battles in certain towns. You’d think that’d make the news but it doesn’t.

I have another idea…Let Our Best of Best Special Ops like Delta Force, SEALS, MARSOC, CIA Special Agents go down there and have a field day toying with these Clowns called Cartels. Clean it up and take no prisoners. Leave the Cartels members laying where they fall and after mission is complete load up and come home. The Cartels deserve no mercy since they show zero human compassion.

My sister and her family were supposed to leave today or tomorrow (I think) to go to some all inclusive resort in Cancun and I suggested to my mother that perhaps she should ask my BIL if he was sure it was safe to go (former LEO in west TX) and last I knew they thought it would be fine. They are taking their 11 year old son as well. I am apparently far more anxious about them going than they are about their own safety.

I feel like the resort is probably safe as those places rely strongly on American tourism to exist, but they still fly into a public airport and have to get from there to the resort and then reverse the process when the are to come back home.

The last time I was in Mexico was October '22 in two ports of call, Cozumel and Progresso. We did Carnival excursions in both places and I never felt unsafe but I was definitely watching for things my mom would have never noticed.

I would hope We would not be intimidated in any shape form or fashion by a threat from Mexico. Mexico’s military strength is basically zero and compared to Our Military it is basically a nonexistent threat. The Cartels are even less of a threat to Our Military forces and I am 100% confident that if called upon to clean House down In Cartel Land, Our Guys will get the job done and probably enjoy doing it considering The Cold Heartless mentality The Cartels operate upon with Zero Human compassion and having Zero issue human trafficking and transporting drugs.

We have a condo that we use 3 or 4 times a year in Cancun.. it’s in the resort zone. Hugh police and military presence. Why? It’s all run by the Mexican mafia. Bring your dollars and you will be safe. Just don’t cross the bridge.

There’s a big travel advisory in Mexico right now. I think Cancun is included. They were shooting people from seadoos on the beach a couple months back at resorts. So I don’t think they’re all that safe right now.
