100% agree....a dude in camo with a camera, with no gun, no calls, is not "aiding in the hunt"....he's just documenting it. That's like saying if I go fishing and MrsGomer tags along to read a book and "lay out" on the back deck while I fish because it's a pretty day, she could get written up for not having a fishing license even though she has zero interest in fishing, wouldn't even pick a rod/reel up and wouldn't know what to do with it if she did. If that were to happen, I'd take it to court and I'd die on that hill. It's absurd that anyone here would think that is ok, but that's what I'm reading from several folks.
Why on earth do we want to give the government MORE power over every little thing we do?
Agreed

I fully believe that he had no intention of shooting a turkey and was primarily filming. But I think it would be safe to bet the farm that he had a turkey call on him Again, playing devils advocate, is there a law against walking around with a diaphram call in your pocket? If it wasn't witnessed or admitted to, there's no proof of him calling. I do understand that if'n he even pointed at something and told the hunter about it...he's assisting/aiding in the hunt.
The harder I practice, the luckier I get.

Let’s just call it like it is……. The states are writing the regulations to be ambiguous and in turn the Game Wardens main purpose now has become a tool for the State to generate as much revenue as they can instead of protecting the resource of wildlife from game violators. The money is all they care about. I had a conversation with a GW in a restaurant in South Alabama a few years back. He railed on and on about hogs being a nuisance and destroying everything they got around in that part of the State. Saying stuff like we need to poison them into extinction and shoot everyone we see 24 hours a day. Not two weeks later that same GW wrote me my first ticket ever for shooting a feral hog three minutes after the sunset rule had elapsed. Not only that but I was hunting a road bordering a bedding area and I had a friend with me hunting a greenfield about 500 yards away. We met up and walked to the truck together after dark where the GW's were waiting for us, and he got a ticket too even though I was the shooter.. He didn't even see anything to shoot, just happened to be walking out with me. The simple fact is they are not your friends and are looking to write you a ticket for whatever they can based on their personal interpretation of ambiguously written regs.
Our tickets were thrown out, and the court expressed shock that they were even written in the first place, especially my friends.
I don't know if you guys remember the Bud Meadows story he posted several years back where he got a little lippy with a GW, probably for good reason based on what you are about to read, and the guy harassed him for like 4 days. N2Deer and I had a run in with that same GW one time in Barbour Co on a small piece of property we were leasing for turkey hunting. He looked for every way to write us up he could and accused us of everything he could possibly could trying to get us to confess to something. The property was bordered on the West side by a big cotton field and that GW spent 45 minutes grilling me about whether I had been in the cotton field because he "found tracks the previous week that were about my size". This was the second day of turkey season and both of us had our sons with us who were scared to death. The guy literally spent an hour grilling us and crawling around in the road digging through pine straw looking for bait. He was picking up little pieces of rocks and dirt and looking at us and saying "What's this, What's this, Y'all cut the bull**** and tell me where the bait is". I mean just looking for everything he could to write us a ticket. Then he told me he knew I had been in that cotton field but he was going to cut me a break this time and let me go. I just smirked at him.
This is why possum cops are so beloved.

I wonder about guys who are tagged out but continue to take/guide other hunters. Are they participating illegally in the hunt? See where this goes when we start drilling down into the rules to the n^th degree? Hmmmmmm.
