Saw this while out in the kayak today.

View from the water. The trench at the top was very recently dug. This is a significant excavation.


This view is looking back toward the water from the top. The excavated area does a sharp 90 degree turn to the left (right in this pic) under the log.


This was in the entrance of the den. Had to use the flash so the vegetation outside got blown out.


Not much in the way of tracks on the slip, but did see this small one. Others were less distinct but larger.

Yep, I put traps in spots like that on private places I know are safe lol

this looks like the beaver dens i used to see on the warrior river. they often would build these into the bank under warfs ...

I'll say one thing, he's been a busy beaver. That was some real digging to get up that bank.
