What I meant by man days is the old Alabama outdoor news would publish every year “ Man days” on the WMA’s . That being said if 1 person hunted 1 day on the WMA that counted at 1 man day. If 25 people hunted on one day it counts as 25 man days. It’s a way to tell how many people are hunting a certain WMA to see how much pressure it’s getting. They use to post deer kill rates like it takes an average of 10 man days to kill a deer. That would help you determine deer density on the WMA usually. I was just wanting to see how much the WMA’s are getting hunted to try and determine hunting pressure. As far as I know the last one that was published in 19/20 season. That’s been 5 years ago. I thought it would be interesting to see how much it has changed since then. I gotcha, I just mis read, I read gun days in my mind I guess. I remember what your talking about

It's not a number worth keeping track of.... how do you account for the fact that 1 guy doesn't shoot the first deer he sees and the next guy blasts the first one he sees? One guy hunts all season trying to kill a buck that doesn't exist because of guy #2.
Whoever is keeping these numbers isn't smart enough to put all that together I would imagine.
No government employees were harmed in the making of this mess.

I’d have to agree with this. I’d also agree with he was lied to. They’ve always put out the numbers. Don’t mean much to me though if I’m wanting to hunt public land.
This is Aldeer! The place people come to vent their frustrations and completely change their stance a few minutes later...
